Producer, composer, sound designer and DJ Ben Hayes (who somehow holds down a day job working in Artificial Intelligence) is today sharing "Ready Yet", his new cut with Nubya Garcia. Five minutes of dreamy collaboration, think Ibiza chill meets Arabic getaway; whine-friendly, it also suits fireplace and chill mode.
The intro builds, giving way to Hayes' jazz foundations and new sax queen Nubya Garcia, whose dulcet tones slink steadily on, raising the vibration and some. Having worked with the cream of the South London nu-wave jazz scene over the years while honing his skills, Hayes also plays keys and the electronic/double bass while being known for taking influence from the LA beat scene, techno, spiritual jazz, 3D sound and electronica.
