Christianity, like all attempts at antiquated thought control, is arguably something that should be dismantled outright. But I, as I so often do, digress. At least we have people like Lady Gaga speaking out against the most flagrant abuses of Christianity.

From the stage at her ongoing Las Vegas residency over the weekend, Gaga responded to reports that Mike Pence's wife Karen is to resume teaching at a Christian school that openly discriminates against LGBTQ students.

"To Mike Pence, who thinks it's acceptable that his wife work at a school that bans LGBTQ, you are wrong," Gaga said. "You say we should not discriminate against Christianity? You are the worst representation of what it means to be a Christian. I am a Christian woman and what I do know about Christianity is that we bear no prejudice and that everybody is welcome. So you can take all that disgrace, Mr Pence, and you can look yourself in the mirror. You'll find it right there."

The apt Pence comments, which arrived following a run-through of Joanne single "Million Reasons," were preceded by a brief slamming of Trump for his idiotic shutdown. "And if the fucking president of the United States could please put our government back in business . . . There are people who live paycheck to paycheck and need their money," she said.

Anyway, fuck Pence, fuck Trump, fuck 'em all. Go to Vegas and protest by living your best life. Vegas residencies, as you may have noticed in recent months, have taken a turn for the better. Last year, for example, we got blink-182 at the Palms. Next up: Drake.
