CupcakKe scared fans and friends on Monday night when she tweeted and posted on Instagram that she wanted to commit suicide. Thankfully, the rapper is now safe and in a local hospital.

On Tuesday, celebrities shared their support for CupcakKe via Twitter, including Charli XCX, Lizzo, and Iggy Azalea.

Charli, a close collaborator, wrote CupcakKe a long note, where she called the Chicago native “one of the most unique, genuine, and loving people I have ever met in this industry.”

Word about CupcakKe’s safety initially got out through her friend, comedian Elijah Daniel who, after seeing CupcakKe’s tweet began texting and calling her, her team, mother, and mutual friends. He eventually got through to the Chicago Police Department, which did a wellness check on the artist. She was subsequently taken to the hospital.

UPDATE: Chicago Police got to Elizabeth’s place and she has been taken to a hospital. I don’t have any further information beyond that, but will update when i do.
