2018 was a big year for Toronto-based R&B duo Always Never: after the release of their self-titled project at the end of the summer,  they sold out their first hometown show at the Mod Club just a month later—an achievement that has become a bit of a rite of passage for Toronto artists from The Weeknd to Daniel Caesar to Charlotte Day Wilson to Sean Leon. They've also received some celebrity cosigns that certainly don't hurt the cause, including Khloe Kardashian (via her Instagram Story) as well as Joe Budden on his popular podcast.

Now the duo are starting 2019 on a high note with a new single, "It's Over."  Always Never had the following to say about the release: "The lyrics touch on a post breakup internal struggle where you still have strong feelings for someone but you know that it has to end. The song touches on the feelings when you find out something you’ve always thought, or had bad feelings about, turns out to be true."
