The Navy loves Rihanna, and Rihanna clearly loves the Navy.

On Tuesday, the multi-hyphenate returned Instagram to drop an encouraging message for one of her fans who is battling cancer. The woman, a Londoner named Monia, shared a post-surgery photo of herself next to an oxygen tank, which she called a "fashion statement." RiRi then took to the comment section to applaud Monia for her strength and openness during her journey.

"Sis we are all praying for you! Your strength and your ability to let the beauty in your spirit shine through, even in the midst of adversity, is tremendously inspiring!" the singer wrote. "[...] I can’t begin to imagine what you feel, so I want you to know we are all here for you and I encourage the NAVY to rally around you during these times! Love you!"

The words apparently came at just the right time. Monia took a screenshot of Rihanna's comment and explained how it lifted her up as after she received more and more bad news.

"Right in the worse time, she's there for me. This made my day," she wrote. "Thank you Robyn for being so real and supportive. And thanks to everyone else who is supportive in any way, every comment, every DM, every prayer—I appreciate it so much."

This isn't the first time Rihanna has shown love to Monia. As seen on Instagram, Monia has not only met RiRi in person, she has also received a number of other comments and direct messages from the artist, whom she calls her "inspiration." You can see some of the posts below.
