Pusha-T’s show in Toronto did not go according to plan, or did it? After drinks were thrown and a fight broke out at Push's show on Tuesday, people turned to Twitter with memes and theories about what really went down.
Push was not involved in the fight, but after several men rushed the stage his security stepped in and three men were left with serious injuries. After the fight, the G.O.O.D. Music president returned to perform "I Don't Like" and "Infrared.”
He also blamed Drake for the upheaval. “Listen. Let me tell ya’ll something,” he said. “This n***a paid some n***as to throw beer n***a. What the fuck is that. Yall know where the fuck I’m from.”
You shouldn’t need us to tell you that Toronto is Drake’s homebase. The two rappers have a long contentious history, but the beef exploded this year with back and forth diss tracks and interviews. The working theory of both Push and a good section of Twitter is that Drake purchased 200 tickets to the show on Tuesday in order to cause a scene.
This follows Push’s Camp Flog Gnaw set, which included a "Fuck Drake" graphic projected onto a giant screen behind him—a move he later blamed on a "corny ass tech dude."
Look, we don’t know if Drake actually hired people for retaliation, or if Push simply faced heat from his nemesis’ hometown, but what we do know, is that this beef is really dragging on. Still, people on Twitter rushed to theories about the brawl and memes poking fun at both rappers. Check out some of the best below.
