For much of 2018, Norwegian duo Fredfades and Jawn Rice have been buried in their studio, hard at work on their joint album, Jacuzzi Boyz, which drops January 18, 2019.

It seems the album is now finished as we're now being treated to the first cut from it in "Tonight". The track, as Fredfades explains below, was inspired by the pair's mutual love of the classic strains of house and techno that bubbled up from the States in the '80s. Adding some colour and flair to the deep house grooves is singer Lucid Paradise, one of a few singers who grace the album (alongside Dreamcast and Stimulator Jones). It's an enticing first taste from what could prove to be a strong start to 2019 for the pair. With any luck, we'll get some visuals for the album, too.

"'Tonight' is my personal favourite cut from the project," says Fredfades. "It's a track I hope reflects our love for the true sound of quality soulful deep house. For me, this is like a personal tribute to pioneers of deep house that came out of New York, Detroit and Chicago."

Pre-order the Jacuzzi Boyz album here before it drops Jan. 18.
