A freestyle from a high school-aged, tattoo-less Mac Miller has resurfaced, in what’s allegedly his first-ever interview.

The unreleased freestyle video was taken by Masked Gorilla in 2010, when Miller was 18 years old. In the YouTube video description, the publication’s founder Roger Gengo shared some insights of the day the video was shot:

None

A subsequent Mac conversation posted on Masked Gorilla also referred to the aforementioned interview as Mac's first.

Mac Miller passed away on Sept. 7, of an apparent overdose, when he was 26. The tragic news arrived about a month after he released his fifth studio album, Swimming, in which he addressed his battle with substance abuse and self-love.

His Self Care Tour, in support of the album, was set to kick off on Oct. 27. The tribute concert Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life will be livestreamed at Los Angeles' Greek Theatre on Oct. 31 at 6:30 p.m. PT / 9:30 p.m. ET. The event will benefit the Mac Miller Circles Fund, which aims to help young people in underserved communities by giving them access to programming and additional resources centered on creativity and community building. Travis Scott, SZA, John Mayer, Action Bronson, Chance the Rapper, Earl Sweatshirt, Thundercat, and Vince Staples are among those on the lineup for the show.
