Kanye West Hits the Studio With 6ix9ine Again

For some reason, Kanye West and 6ix9ine have again been spotted in the studio together. West's most recent collab was with Lil Pump and was accompanied by a Roblox-esque video that was instantly memed.

For some reason, Kanye West has again been spotted in the studio with 6ix9ine.

West and photographer Don Canon both shared updates on the sessions, which have seemingly taken place in New York and Colombia, on Tuesday. "Back at it like a crack addict," Canon said. West, meanwhile, shared an impromptu sketch of 6ix9ine with an "in the studio" caption:

Canon first alerted the world to a potential 6ix9ine and West collaboration over the weekend. Though it's not currently clear where the results of these sessions will end up, or whether they will ever be released at all, we do know for a fact that West is a 6ix9ine fan. "Yeah, I love his energy," West told Power 92 last month. Back in 2015, 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to the use of a child in a sexual performance.

West's most recent collab was the catchy as hell "I Love It" with Lil Pump. The new track premiered during the West-helmed inaugural Pornhub Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, complete with a Spike Jonze-assisted video that somehow calls to mind both the Talking Heads and Roblox.

Though G.O.O.D. Music's "surgical summer" marathon of releases is effectively over, West still has at least one more seven-tracker in the pipeline from Chance the Rapper. "I came out here with Chance to work on his album and I've just been hanging out with my friends," West told reporters last month during a visit to his hometown. "I love this city and I'mma be here a lot more."
