XXXTentacion Murder Suspect Has Reportedly Asked to Be Released on Bail

Robert Allen has submitted a request for release on bail. The 22-year-old Florida resident says he wants to be released from custody so he can care for his pregnant fiancée.

One of the four men indicted in XXXTentacion’s murder case is reportedly holding his breath for bail release.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, 22-year-old suspect Robert Allen has "begged" the presiding judge to grant him bail while he awaits his murder trial. The Fort Lauderdale resident claims he needs to be released so that he can care for his pregnant fiancée. The newly filed document states the suspect intends to return to his mother’s home in Broward County, where he will continue to work at a lawn care business.

Allen insists he should be allowed to post bail because there is no evidence of his alleged crime. The man was arrested in July on first-degree murder, robbery, and drug possession charges. Shortly after he was taken into custody, Allen entered a not guilty plea; however, he and the other three murder suspects remain in custody.

XXX was gunned down on June 18 as he was leaving a motorsport dealership in South Florida. Authorities say 22-year-old Michael Boatwright and 20-year-old Trayvon Newsome are believed to have carried out the robbery and slaying; however, Allen and 22-year-old Dedrick Williams were also charged in the case for their alleged involvement.

Boatwright, Newsome, and Williams have also pleaded not guilty.

On Wednesday, it was reported that the State of Florida has requested DNA swabs from all four suspects. Legal documents obtained by Complex reveal prosecutors are demanding hair, blood swabs, fingerprints, “and other materials of the defendant's body,” so they can compare them with materials gathered from evidence.

The court has yet to announce a ruling.
