Trey Songz Sued by Same Woman Who Had Domestic Violence Case Rejected

The accuser is looking for the singer to pay for her medical expenses, and other damages.

Trey Songz's legal battle with the woman who accused him of domestic violence earlier this year is not over. TMZ reports that Songz is now being sued by Andrea Buera in an effort to have him cover her medical expenses and other damages stemming from an incident during NBA All-Star Weekend where the singer allegedly left her with a swollen shut left eye, as well as bruises around her jaw, shoulders, and legs.

According to court documents, Songz ran after Buera during a party in Los Angeles back in February because she was talking to another guy. She alleges that in the midst of their dispute, he threw her phone off a cliff when she tried to call an Uber, and “called her names, choked her, and repeatedly punched her in the face.” Andrea claims that Songz stopped when one of his bodyguards showed up to break it up.

Songz turned himself in to Los Angeles Police Department on a felony domestic violence charge in March, and was released on $50,000 bail. He denied the allegations on Twitter, claiming that he’s being “lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain.”

For weeks my lawyers & Mgmt have asked me not to comment on this and I initially agreed but this morning I feel that my fam, the women that raised me, my friends & fans especially the youth need to hear from me. I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain

In a press conference held that same month, Buera directed a personal message to Songz, saying, “Trey, I’d like an apology. I want you to get help, and although I am not your first victim ... I’d like to be your last.” The domestic violence felony charge against Songz was dropped in April.

This latest case isn't the first time Songz has been accused of violence. He's previously been alleged to have attacked a fan.
