The classically trained artist has been putting in work for the past several years, creating a unique fusion of R&B, trap, and rock. The East Coast native received her first big break at the young age of 16, when she was tapped to be the lead vocalist for 106 & Park’s house band. After parting ways with the show, LUVK (pronounced “luck”) went on to release her Human EP, which eventually led her to Los Angeles.

LUVK says the move re-energized her creativity, and eventually inspired her latest single called “Houdini.” The track’s production goes heavy on the gritty, menacing, instrumentation, as she delivers cocky lines punctuated by primal screams.

"All niggas love me, ‘cause they never see me/Get the work and make it disappear like Houdini,” she sings in the hook. “My bitches in Tahiti, but we sippin Fuji/Pull up, skrrt, skrrt, skrrt, ‘cause we fuckin’ greedy.”

'The androgyny of my sound and aesthetic is definitely the shit that people will vibe to," LUVK says. "I️’m stoked af about this video, and I️ hope that y’all lose your shit to this song the same way that I️ do 😝"

Just weeks after the track hit streaming services, LUVK has delivered its official music video directed by Will Photo. You can check out the trippy visual above.
