Tyga and Offset’s hit single “Taste” may soon get a boost from Cardi B. Not that it really needed one.
On Tuesday, the Invasion of Privacy rapper hit up social media teasing a possible remix of the chart-climbing record. She wrote: “My baby shleep. Should i go to my basement and do a verse for TASTE?”
We wouldn’t be mad at another Cardi feature, especially on an already-fire track like “Taste.” Even Tyga seems open to the assist:
The original record, produced by D.A. Doman, marked T-Raww’s first collaboration with Cardi’s fiancé Offset. The single has become one of Tyga’s biggest hits yet, earning a platinum certification and cracking the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
As we said, the song is doing incredibly well as it is, but a solid Cardi verse would likely take it to the next level.
It’s unclear if Cardi was serious about contributing to the track, as she has recently scaled back on work. The Bronx-rapper recently backed out of Bruno Mars’ upcoming fall tour dates, stating she needed time to recover from childbirth.
“I think underestimated this whole mommy thing,” she wrote on social media last week. “Not only am I not ready physically, but I am not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it's not healthy for her to be on the road.”
