Teyana Taylor Says 'We Ain’t Getting' an Updated 'K.T.S.E.' Despite Initial Plans for It

"A lot of clearance issues, shit takes time," the singer tweeted Monday. “At this point I will leave album the way it is & will just debut the extended records thru my visuals!”

Last week during an interview with BigBoyTV, Teyana Taylor revealed that her sophomore album K.T.S.E. arrived incomplete. “When the album dropped, I didn’t even know that much stuff wasn’t cleared,” she said. “It was really just an honest misunderstanding.”

Taylor promised she'd be releasing a complete, updated version of the album “like next week.” It’s been a week, and fans are still waiting. Now it looks like that new version might not be coming after all. “I guess we ain’t getting one,” she dejectedly replied to one fan asking for the update.

Various songs, or cuts of songs, were left off the original release due to time constraints and failure to secure sample clearances. “I would probably have to blame a little bit of everybody because of the fact that we set a date and we had the listening party, and then we had clearance issues,” she said during last week's interview. “Like, as far as the clearance issues, I don’t know. I feel like everybody plays a part.”

It’s unclear if we really aren’t getting that update, or if Taylor is just teasing her increasingly desperate fans, who are now begging her to leave G.O.O.D. Music after her album was released both late and unfinished. It's still possible that the updated version will come out at a later time.

Based on her most recent tweets though, things don't look promising. “At this point I will leave album the way it is & will just debut the extended records thru my visuals!” she wrote Monday. Looks like we'll have to learn to love K.T.S.E., an already outstanding album, as is.
