G-Eazy Responds to Demi Lovato Dating Rumors

After G-Eazy and Halsey parted ways, rumors surfaced that the rapper had moved on with pop sensation Demi Lovato. He addressed those claims on the red carpet during Wednesday night's ESPYs.

G-Eazy and Halsey announced they were parting ways at the beginning of July, after dating for nearly a year and working on several creative projects together.

After the break up, a few rumors began to surface that Eazy had already moved on with another pop sensation: Demi Lovato. According to an exclusive from Entertainment Tonight, the rapper squashed those rumors on the red carpet of the ESPYs Wednesday night, saying Demi is "just a friend."

Halsey announced the breakup on Instagram about three weeks ago. "G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart. I’m eager to continue the upcoming passage of time dedicating myself to my art and my career, and the duration of my tour. I wish him the best," she posted on her Instagram story.

Soon after, G-Eazy revealed they had been working on music together shortly before their breakup. "She’s one of the most talented people in music. I tell her this all the time like there’s only like six of you on the planet that are this good. And she’s really rare!” he said in an interview with Billboard. “It’s just dope. I told you how much I love collaborating but when you get to collaborate with the person you’re in love with and share this experience of making a song and performing a song."

When asked about the publicity surrounding his relationship on Wednesday night, G-Eazy chopped it up to being “one of those things that comes with the territory.”

“You trade in your anonymity in exchange for some of your success in the public eye," he told ET. "You have to remember the blessings and remember how grateful you are to be here in the first place and understand some of that is just what comes with the territory."
