Nicki Minaj’s forthcoming album Queen was originally slated for a June 15 release, but has since been pushed back to Aug. 10. Still, it seems like Minaj has a lot in store for her fans, and not just the scintillating cover art she revealed a few days ago.
On Friday, Nicki took to Twitter to tease a clip of an unreleased song. While you can’t make out much from the snippet, you can hear her saying “you mad doggie, you mad doggie,” at the end, alongside a kiss and her trademark laugh.
More than that, it seems that the teaser could be from Minaj’s collaboration with Lil Wayne, entitled “Rich Sex.” According to Hip Hop N More, if you Shazam the clip on their app, the song’s name pops up, as does the guest artist. Shazam often registers unreleased songs when some information is saved in their system, so there’s definitely a likelihood “Rich Sex” will be included on Queen.
At the end of May, Minaj’s album cut “Chun-Li” was certified gold. She took to Instagram to make the announcement and thank everyone who was involved. She wrote, “got on the mic & made this song up in 5 mins just having fun @ 4 in the morning. Then took about an hour to put words to the melody. Released it 2 days later. We captured it all on video.”
