Europe's biggest electronic music festival is back for its biggest year yet.
Hideout Festival 2018 will be ushering in another fresh wave of electronic and urban music talent from across the globe. House and techno superstars such as MK, Jamie Jones, Kerri Chandler, Eats Everything and Heidi join the likes of British rap and grime dons AJ Tracey and Bugzy Malone through to exciting up-and-comers Nadia Rose and Abra Cadabra for what is set to be another messy week of fun and frolics.
Yet again, Hideout has drafted in an outstanding crop of talent to shell it down in the sun out in Croatia. Here are our picks of the five acts you definitely can't miss this year.
Mall Grab's blend of uncompromising, four-to-the-floor disco house have seen the Australian DJ ascend from lo-fi house producer to accomplished artist. Interspersing his sets with his own, infectious production and more homogenous dance music from all sorts of genres, Mall Grab treats his audience to sets that go off every single time. Perfect Pool Party Music.
Flava D is undoubtedly one of the most skilled DJs in the UK bass scene. Bringing along a record bag full of heat with an infectious blend of sugar-tinged UKG and weighty grime and bassline, her sets always arrive with a healthy selection of old classics and new bass jams. The Butterz affliate's set is an absolute no-brainer to go and see ahead of a long summer of sessions at XOYO, which she takes over for her residency from July.
Ms Banks is glo-ing up fast. After having her bars shouted out by Nicki Minaj and warming up for Cardi B on her UK tour last year, the South London rapper's live shows are full of energy. Fast becoming renowned for her show-stopping lyrics and shutting down dances, expect more of the same from Ms Banks out in Croatia this summer.
Hunee has developed a reputation as an endlessly talented DJ with a selection that never disappoints and consistently surprises, no matter how many times you watch him perform. Not only a talented DJ but water-tight producer, Hunee's sets span everything from impossibly rare disco tracks to ghetto house and out-and-out techno bangers, all of which he blends into his high-octane and highly-enjoyable sets effortlessly.
DJ Seinfeld's rise from another ironically-named DJ making "cheap house" to becoming one of the most exciting new DJs and producers in electronic music, DJ Seinfeld is bringing fresh zest with his take on house music. Sets packed full of euphoric moments aplenty, Seinfeld's session will be one of the more lowkey yet essential ones to experience at Hideout 2018.
