Young Thug Responds to Speculations About His Sexuality

Thugger is fed up.

Young Thug is no stranger to conversations surrounding his sexuality, choosing to buck social norms every now and again with his fashion choices. These fashion risks don't go unnoticed, and critics and fans alike have insisted the Atlanta rapper must be gay due to their own restrictive ideas about style and creativity.

Thugger typically ignores or laughs off these claims, showing up in a flowy gown on his Jeffrey mixtape cover or wearing gaudy women's costume jewelry just the same and rarely addressing it directly. On Wednesday, however, he took to Twitter to share a simple tweet to respond to it all, HotNewHipHop reports.

Opps talking gay but won’t play... lil boy

"Opps talking gay but won’t play... lil boy," it reads, likely inviting those that continue to connect his clothing choices to his sexuality to back up their claims with a little more than talk.

Earlier this month, the rapper posted photos of himself with Lil Uzi Vert decked out in anklets, pearls, handbags, and copious amounts of money along with the caption, "We can go up." From the looks of the outfits in the flicks, it appears to have been taken on the same day Uzi Vert shared snippets of unreleased music via Young Thug's Instagram account

Fellow rapper 21 Savage later commented on the photo, "y'all gay." Real mature. It's very possible the above tweet was meant for Savage, along with others who make similarly problematic comments.

In the grand scheme of things, the sexuality or expression of Thugger, or anyone is ultimately nobody's business.
