Earlier today, former Love & Hip Hop Hollywood cast member Teairra Mari’s official Instagram account was hacked, and videos of her doing sexual acts were posted without her consent, per Bossip.
Teairra has since regained control of her accounts, and confirmed that she was hacked by posting a statement. She claims her accounts were “compromised by someone I felt was deserving of my love and trust” who turned out to be “untrustworthy.” She also took the opportunity to share her hope that “women remain strong and dignified when they find themselves having to address hateful and juvenile acts by former lovers.”
Finally, Teairra warned that revenge porn is a crime in California, and she will be in “pursuit of justice.”
In related news, a man linked to the 2014 leak of private photos from high-profile actresses like Jennifer Lawrence, Vanessa Hudgens, Kate Upton, and Kirsten Dunst pleaded guilty last month to hacking into the iCloud account of dozens of celebrities. The 26-year-old used a phishing scam to obtain access to about 250 iCloud accounts and the photos, videos, and private information that came along with them. Another man was charged back in 2016 with 18 months in prison in connection with the leak.
