Malone also racked up 153,000 traditional album sales. The release also barely surpasses the predictions that he would sell between 440,000-460,000 equivalent album units in its first week. These stats make Beerbongs the biggest first-week debut so far in 2018, beating out J. Cole's KOD, Justin Timberlake's Man of the Woods, and Migos' Culture II.

In comparison, Post’s first album Stoney debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, moving only 58,000 album-equivalent units in the first week, 19,000 of which were traditional album sales.

Just two days after the album dropped, Beerbongs & Bentleys became a certified Platinum album, mostly thanks to the success of his two singles “Rockstar” featuring 21 Savage and “Psycho” featuring Ty Dolla Sign. The former is No. 11 on Spotify's list of all-time most streamed songs.
