Lil Wayne Celebrating 'Tha Carter III' 10th Anniversary at Lil Weezyana Fest

Meet me in New Orleans in August.

Where were you when you first heard Lil Wayne promise "They can't stop me....even if they stopped me" at the beginning of Tha Carter III opener "3 Peat"?

Whatever you were doing, and wherever you were doing it, will likely come rushing back like a tidal wave at this year's Lil WeezyAna Fest in New Orleans. Though a full list of guests for this year’s proceedings hasn't been announced, Weezy shared a Carter III-nodding flyer Tuesday. Guests on the critically lauded 2008 album included Jay Z, T-Pain, Babyface, Busta Rhymes, and more. Two tracks—"Comfortable" and the seriously fucking great "Let the Beat Build"—boasted production from Graduation-era Kanye West.

Tickets for the Aug. 25 festival, set to go down at Bold Sphere Music at Champions Square, are now on sale and start at $65. Previous incarnations of the New Orleans festival have featured special guests like Gucci Mane, Big Freedia, 2 Chainz, and Drake.

Weezy's most recent release was Dedication 6: Reloaded back in January. At the time of this writing, the status of the profoundly delayed Tha Carter V remains a mystery. The last we heard from Birdman, the album was "without a doubt" being released this year. Time will tell.
