Kenny Burns on Drake's 'Scorpion': 'If You Love the R&B Side and the Rap Side, This Album Is for You'

Burns: "I promise you he is going to deliver a project that you have been waiting for."

Though Drake hasn't revealed much about his upcoming album besides the title and the month it's set to drop, it seems that Kenny Burns has heard some of the project already.

In a new Baller Alert Show podcast, Burns, a music exec who has known Drake for years, dropped some details about Scorpion, which is set to come out in June. "If you're really a fan of Drake and you love the R&B side and the rap side, this album is for you," he said."I promise you he is going to deliver a project that you have been waiting for."

Burns also shared that he let the Toronto native know just how important he is to the game, particularly after Kanye West "ousted himself" from rap's top spot. "I'm like, 'How does it feel to be like... not just Drake, like you're the king of rap, 'Ye ousted himself voluntarily,'" he said. "You're at the helm. You're the generation before you and the generation after you. You're right in that sweet spot."

Burns also took to social media to hint at an upcoming tour to go along with Drake's brand new album. "Tour Coming Soon... More Life," he wrote in a photo caption. With plans for Drake's annual OVO Fest in Toronto not having been announced just yet, there's no telling when a world tour might start.
