If someone would've told you that Bhad Bhabie, a.k.a. the teenage girl who gained viral infamy based off saying "cash me ousside, how bow dah" during a 2016 appearance on Dr. Phil, would be competing against Nicki Minaj and Cardi B for Billboard's BBMA for Top Female Rap Artist, you would've laughed in their face. The only people laughing now are Bhad Bhabie and the legions of fans that helped her single "Hi Bich" go Gold. Hate it or love it, Bhad Bhabie's out here, and recently, she was a guest on Open Late with Peter Rosenberg.
During the conversation, Bhad Bhabie recalled that, while riding in a car, she heard "one of those SoundCloud rappers" and out loud said, "Are you f*cking kidding me?!" This, surprisingly, is when she said she decided to start her own rap career. Wondering where she rates herself? She feels she's an "easy 7." Bhad Bhabie also said that, in Florida, "there's no escaping music," so while no one really taught her how to rap, she'd always been around rap music and listened to the likes of Trina or Plies, two of her favorite artists.
Rosenberg also presented the argument that many feel Bhad Bhabie is a cultural appropriator, and brought up Post Malone's issue with the same claim (which she said Rosenberg is "weird" for). Bhabie explained that, sure, Post might be sitting on his floor, playing "random ass music," but he'll also go listen to "some old ass Ice Cube type sh*t."
