Last week, Safaree Samuels informed the Angie Martinez Show team he had just been "robbed at gunpoint" mere hours before the interview. Now, thanks to TMZ, surveillance footage of the incident has been released. See that up top.

Safaree told authorities that the robbery resulted in the loss of an estimated $183,000 in jewelry and cash. One of the allegedly involved individuals, Shawn Harewood, reportedly knows Safaree "very well," though the two haven't been in touch in years.

"A couple of hours ago, I just got robbed," Safaree said on the Martinez show last week. 'Two dudes with guns just ran up on me, me face down on the floor with a gun to my head. They just took everything." Harewood and Jonathan Ricketts were ultimately arrested following a car chase on the George Washington Bridge from New Jersey into New York. Safaree's lawyer, James Leonard Jr., told TMZ they do not believe this was a random event. "This was an ambush specifically targeting Safaree by several men with guns," Leonard said.

Safaree has also addressed the robbery in a series of tweets, calling it one of the "scariest nights" of his life. "Seeing your life flash b4 you're eyes is a life changing experience," he said. "Nothing funny about it. It's probably only funny to ppl who don't have anything or never experienced it. My uncle was killed in a robbery so when thinking about my situation all I think about is him [sic]."

On the same day as TMZ's surveillance footage release, Safaree's latest Hot 97 appearance was released:
