Swae Lee Says a 'Special Something' Is Dropping This Friday

"April 6th mark your calendars."

Sremm Season approaches.

Rae Sremmurd have been teasing their triple-disc SremmLife 3 project for months, but it feels like its release is finally imminent. Tuesday evening, Swae Lee took to Instagram to give an update on the album's status and promise that "something special" will arrive on April 6.

"I will give you everything every form of my artistry just went through mixes production is sounding very full" he wrote. "Triple disc play each song one by one each has its own story and behind the scene story it’s sticking to our original formula which is to get people on their feet SremmLife 3 dripping very soon! Special something for you on April 6th mark your calendars."

Sremmlife 3 will consist of two solo albums from Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi, plus a group disc. In a new interview with Rolling Stone published Tuesday, Swae Lee described his side of the project as "crazy melodic." He also shared that he was rethinking the title of a song called "Little Marliesia," named after his ex-girlfriend.

Elsewhere in the interview, Swae Lee gushed about his love of animals—specifically his two dogs, two mini-pigs, a $15,000 Capuchin monkey named Naya, and a baby spider monkey. "I like wildlife," he explained. "I wanna go in the jungle and see elephants and shit. I'm gonna go to the Amazon. Anyone fucking with wildlife, poaching them, they need to be taken out. They corny for that. Shout out to PETA."
