Lil Yachty Bought a $250K Chain That Once Belonged to Cam'ron

The chain once read “Killa Cam Harlem World,” but now it says "Yachty's World."

Today, in incredibly important breaking news: Lil Yachty has a new chain. Once you’ve recovered from the shock, you may notice that his fresh ice has a hard-to-miss battery-powered spinning globe. If you’re a chain connoisseur, that chain should look familiar, because we’ve seen it before. According to TMZ, Lil Boat’s new chain used to belong to Cam’ron.

Lil Yachty bought the chain from Rafaello & Co. Jewelers in New York City after sprucing it up a little bit. Back in the 2000s, though, Cam’ron owned the piece of jewelry. At the time, it read “Killa Cam Harlem World.” Cam’ron eventually traded the chain in for other jewelry, and now it has made its way to Lil Yachty.

The young rapper bought the chain before it was melted down, but changed the words on the  original chain to “Yachty’s World.” Besides the spinning globe, the chain boasts 150 carats of diamonds. It’s worth $250,000.

Lil Yachty has been busy since he released the Lil Boat 2 mixtape last month. He’s released two new projects with Bhad Bhabie: the music video for “Count Me In” and the song “Gucci Flip Flops.” He also linked up with Smokepurpp, Offset, and Murda Beatz and has a verse on “Do Not Disturb.” More recently, he and Trippie Redd teased new music on Instagram and soon after released their remix of Three 6 Mafia’s “Who Run It.”

In short, Lil Yachty seems to be doing pretty well. The question is, though: is he doing well enough to be considered a better rapper than 75 percent of his peers, as he recently claimed
