Kanye West Will Reportedly Launch Donda Social to Fight for Change in Chicago

Chance The Rapper, Common, and Vic Mensa are reportedly also on board.

Kanye West is one of the most polarizing figures in music right now after proclaiming he has "love" for president Trump. After a week in controversy, he's reportedly getting ready to make some tangible social change for his hometown of Chicago with the launch of Donda Social, according to TMZ.

The organization will serve some of Chicago's neighborhoods, coupling practical solutions to issues like gun violence, housing, and education with the funding to back it. West has reportedly called on artists like Common, Vic MensaChance The Rapper, and Mailk Yusef to help out. 

Members of the organization are set to visit the struggling neighborhoods while collaborating with community members to come up with the solutions that make the most sense. West's recent Twitter storm have included a jab at former president Barack Obama, saying nothing in Chicago changed" during his eight years in office.

West is reportedly set to make the full announcement soon, with some reports saying it may be as soon as today.
