J. Cole Shares Video of Crowd in Nigeria Singing Along to "Photograph"

The crowd knew J. Cole's 'KOD' album cut "Photograph" word-for-word.

J. Cole’s new album KOD has only been out for over a week, but has already been breaking multiple records, including the U.S.’s record for most album streams in the first 24 hours of its release, with 64.5 million streams.

Before Cole takes KOD on tour, he stopped in Lagos, Nigeria for a concert. The North Carolina native posted a clip of the show on Instagram, where he’s performing the album cut “Photograph.” But it looks like he barely had to perform it—the crowd knew the song word-for-word and was singing it back to him. Cole was stunned that the crowd knew the album so well just a week after its release.

“Nigeria. Smhhhh. 7days later it don't make sense can't wait to hit the road,” he wrote on Instagram.

KOD is now predicted to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, and is anticipated to have the biggest streaming week for an album in 2018 with 320 million streams ending on April 26. These figures would also secure KOD the third-biggest streaming week in history. The only other albums that would surpass KOD’s predicted streaming numbers are Kendrick Lamar’s Damn, which earned 340.6 million streams in the week ending April 20, 2017; and Drake’s More Life, which generated 384.8 million streams in the week ending March 30, 2017.
