Toronto might be a big and bustling city but some of the best parties it has to offer are found off-the-beaten path, in smaller spaces or basements that get filled with sweaty bodies and unmatched vibes. If you've never had a chance to attend one, Canadian artists Grandtheft and Just Chase give us just a taste of the nightlife in the city they call home with their latest music video: the visual for the R&B single "She Knows" takes viewers on a night out in the big city, from a stroll through the streets to an underground dance party.
“'She Knows' is a really special song to me because it’s feels so uniquely like Toronto," Grandtheft says of the single. "Chase and I both reside in Toronto so, in approaching the music video, I wanted to capture the a night out in my neighborhood— to give visual life to the soul and dancehall vibe of the record. It was my second time working with my friend, director Jon Riera, and he was the perfect guy to call on for this project.” Riera, also a Toronto native, has previously worked on such noted videos Jazz Cartier's "Red Alert / 100 Roses," A Tribe Called Red's "Indian City," and several others.
