If we learned anything from Drake’s latest chart-topping singles “God’s Plan” and “Nice for What,” it’s that Drizzy is unstoppable.
Earlier in 2018, he broke streaming records with “God’s Plan,” which premiered at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and maintained that position for an unimaginable 11 weeks. With “Nice for What,” which he released in early April, he’s achieved another No. 1 single, and also ousted himself, becoming only the fourth artist with multiple No. 1 debuts on the Hot 100 chart. Not to mention, “God’s Plan” is still at No. 2.
On Monday, he announced that he's gearing up for the release of his next album, Scorpion, which will come out in June. The project is executive-produced by Noah "40" Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib.
With his latest cinematic visual treatments of the Karena Evans-directed “God’s Plan”—where we saw Drake give away $1 million—and the Evans-directed video for “Nice for What”—which really is, if nothing else, a celebration of strong women—Drake not only celebrates his success, but everyone else’s too. It’s not only his year, but our year too.
Now that we know the album is dropping in June, let’s take a look at what else we know about Drake’s forthcoming album Scorpion.

Producers
While we aren’t certain which producers the 6 God has tapped for Scorpion, we can safely assume that Murda Beatz—who produced “Nice for What”—will have another credit, as will Boi-1da and 40. Boi-1da co-produced both “God’s Plan” and “Diplomatic Immunity,” while 40 is also credited on "God's Plan."
Based off a comment on one of his recent Instagram posts, it looks like the intro for Scorpion will be memorable. @Steezthegreat commented on Drake's IG post, writing, “Zip up is hard,” alluding to the Patagonia fleece that Drake was wearing. Drake then responded, “harder than the album intro or nah?”
In the past, until Views, 40 was on production for all of the intros on Drake’s studio LPs. So it might be safe to assume that we’re going to hear 40’s touch at the very beginning of Scorpion again.
