Donald Glover will be hosting Saturday Night Live on May 5 and will also act as musical guest under his Childish Gambino moniker.
The show is set for May 5. The news was released during tonight's John Mulaney-hosted episode of the show. Jack White was the musical guest.
Not many artists have acted as both the musical guest and the host for Saturday Night Live. Drake, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Blake Shelton, and Ariana Grande are the people who've previously picked up the double SNL shift, Varietyreports.
In other Childish Gambino-related news, the artist is headed on tour with Rae Sremmurd. The month-long tour will kick off at Atlanta's Infinite Energy Arena in September and conclude in Vancouver, BC. It's also likely that Gambino will be performing new music during the string of shows.
Fingers crossed that new, and maybe last, Childish Gambino album comes sooner than later.
