Daniel Caesar shared the video for his beautifully serene Freudian album cut “Best Part,” featuring H.E.R., on Wednesday.
Featuring a split screen, the visual exhibits the two having a beach-side tryst, where we see each singer walk beside the water and tell the story from their perspective. The pairing of the song with the waves and sand is just as soothing as the track by itself.
H.E.R. maintained her trademark anonymity in the video—where she’s slightly obscured—and during the two’s first late night performance of the song on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Caesar was nominated for two Grammy awards in 2018, one for Best R&B Performance for “Get You” and a second for Best R&B Album for Freudian.
