The strained relationship between Lil Wayne and his former mentor Birdman has become particularly intense as of late, with their ongoing settlement negotiations regarding the $51 million lawsuit Wayne filed reportedly getting "hostile." In the first part of his chat with Ebro, Birdman briefly addressed what went down between him and Wayne. In the newly released followup segment, he delves deeper into their volatile relationship.

"We got to get this shit together, because it's affecting our kids. That's not cool with me, at all. His daughter is my godchild, I love her to death," Birdman said. "But guess what, they all talk. He talk to my children all the time, it's just a weird relationship." From the tone of his answers, it's clear he's ready to repair their fractured relationship once and for all.

Birdman also spoke at length about what he thinks about Drake and Nicki Minaj's continued success, offering a lot of praise for both of them. "Drake is biggest artist in the world," he said. "Nicki is the best female ever in hip-hop history," he added. Drake and Minaj both got their starts under Birdman's Cash Money Records and have since gone on to become two of the biggest rappers ever. Watch the proud poppa talk about his former pupils above.
