The music world was shaken to the core today after learning Swedish DJ Avicii had been found dead in Muscat, Oman at the age of 28. In a statement, his publicist said the family was "devastated" by the news, adding that no further statements will be released with a request for "privacy in this difficult time."
Avicii had a huge impact on dance music, pushing EDM into the mainstream spotlight with a number of hugely successful singles like "Wake Me Up" and "Levels."
