Young Thug posted a pretty exciting photo on Instagram today, with him and fellow Atlanta artist—and former Deadpool screenwriter—Childish Gambino/Donald Glover staring at the camera.

This alone wouldn’t be much news to write home about, but thankfully, Thugger’s caption certainly is. While “Watch this…” could mean absolutely anything, it seems pretty reasonable for us to get our hopes up for a Thugger/Gambino collab or, perhaps more likely, a cameo from Young Thug on Glover's critically acclaimed FX show Atlanta. It wouldn't be the first time a high profile musician made a cameo on the show.

Gambino has previously stated that his follow-up to Awaken, My Love! would be his last. While that’s definitely not the greatest news, it makes sense for someone as multi-talented as Donald Glover to shake it up and express himself artistically in all sorts of different formats. He is, after all, the Emmy-winning creator of the FX show Atlanta, a stand-up comedian, writer, actor, MC, and general artist.

Whether or not this potential Young Thug/Gambino collaboration is related to music, television, or something else, is unclear. What is clear, however, is that the possibility of these two artist collaborating, in any capacity, is cause for excitement.

Guess we'll have to wait and see if it actually happens.
