Royce da 5'9" and DJ Premier stopped by the Hot 97 studios Wednesday to give Funkmaster Flex and listeners an impressive freestyle. The duo is gearing up to release their second album PRhyme 2, which is dropping March 16, so Royce decided to give the people a little preview of what kind of bars we can be expecting.

Royce gets right to it, giving us a quick disclaimer at the start, explaining that he was home chilling when Flex called him up to come down to New York and freestyle, and to excuse any profanity and promotion of violence. Talking to Flex, he said, "Just remember whatever happens tonight... your fault."

Premier dropped the beat and Royce shot right from the gate. Some of his most standout bars referenced pop culture figures like Blac Chyna ("You rappers Blac Chyna, went and got your bread and got behind"), and Big Sean ("How bout I take your wifey on tour and never give her back same way my n***a Big Sean did"), and the posers who "get on the 'Gram wearing a Roc Nation hat, but anybody who anybody knows the closest they ever came to seeing Hov was being witnesses." Royce also seems to have been sending some shots at Chance the Rapper when he rapped "by eleven rappers blow up then they, debuted a whole album on Ellen."

Royce continued to spit for a good ten minutes, only taking brief pauses to taunt Flex saying "this is your fault." He closed it out with another quick plug for the album and a show-stopper line about bringing bars back to the streets "like Jay and Nas beef."
