If you've noticed recently, Wale has been suspiciously quiet on social media and completely wiped out his Instagram account. It's typically a tactic that artists use when they're secretly working on a new project. And the rapper delivered tonight, releasing a surprise EP titled It's Complicated.

The four-track EP's only feature is Jacquees. Wale previously teased that he was gearing up for a release tonight on his Instagram story, where he was joined by none other than Pharrell. "DMV! He's trying to do that cool artsy shit, but that's Pharrell y'all," Wale said in reference to the music mastermind, who was playfully covering his face (as if no one would recognize those razor-sharp cheekbones). "This me. I'm dropping something tonight ah!"

This new EP follows Wale's fifth studio album Shine, which was released in April 2017. Since then, the D.C. rapper has shared a few one-off tracks, including his remix to SZA's "The Weekend," the anti-Valentine's Day tune "All Star Break Up," and the boastful anthem "Staying Power."

Wale also has another anticipated collaboration up his sleeve. In January, the rapper teased that he's back in the studio with J. Cole. He posted an Instagram story of a recording session along with the caption, "Working on new vibes." Listen to It's Complicated below.
