After teasing a collaborative project earlier this year, Joey Badass and XXXTentacion have joined forces on a “King’s Dead” freestyle. X teased the record via Instagram on Thursday night, shortly before it appeared on Pro Era’s SoundCloud.

The original version of "King's Dead," which served as the second single off Black Panther: The Album, featured Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Future, and James Blake. You check out Joey and X’s iteration below.

Back in January, both rappers hit up social media to announce a collaborative mixtape. We haven't received much information about the project since then; however, this “King’s Dead” freestyle gives fans a pretty good idea of what they have in store.

The Florida rapper, whose real name is Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, is currently under house arrest. He's facing 15 felony witness tampering charges that stem from a 2016 domestic violence case. The artist also faces charges of false imprisonment, domestic battery by strangulation, and aggravated battery of a pregnant woman. Head here to read more about the case.
