Royce Da 5'9" and DJ Premier's second album as the duo PRhyme is almost here, and to celebrate its impending release, they've shared yet another teaser from the forthcoming project. The pair have already shared the striking video for their Dave East collaboration "Era," and now they've dropped "Flirt."
"Flirt" features 2 Chainz rapping alongside Royce over some real throwback-style production from Premier, and the result is a lot easier to digest than the heavy-handed "Era." It's proof that these two can have just as much fun as they can provide something thought-provoking. It's certainly not the boom-bap aesthetic that we're used to, but it works, and 2 Chainz provides an enjoyable cameo that once again highlights how much he delivers when it comes to guest verses.
The upcoming album is also set to feature appearances by Roc Marciano, Yelawolf, Rapsody, Big K.R.I.T., Denaun Porter, Chavis Chandler, and CeeLo Green. It's a stacked roster of guests, rivaling their debut album which included everyone from Jay Electronica and Common to Mac Miller and Killer Mike.
PRhyme 2 is out March 16.
