Merky Ace is something of a grime enigma—if he's not being controversial on social media, then you can find him making beats under his alias, Splurt Diablo (which no one knew was him until this Complex mix).
With over 10 years behind him as a mic man and producer, the Lewisham don shares "TDF" (produced by Tre Mission) and reminds us of his place in the scene as one of its lyrically sharpest. "Big up to everyone who supported the Personality Cult EP," Merky Ace told Complex over email. "This is the first track to drop off the new album, War Is Normal—which drops on March 30—and I'll be releasing a new track each week until the LP lands. Ruffs is the new buff."
