Rappers are known for dropping diss tracks toward their rivals, but fans think Cardi B may be aiming one at her fiancé, Offset in her single "Be Careful."
A few days after the "Bodak Yellow" artist revealed her debut album cover and title, Invasion of Privacy, she released "Be Careful," which includes some fairly ambiguous lines about a relationship.
"I wanna get married, like the Currys, Steph and Ayesha shit/But we more like Belly; Tommy and Keisha shit/Gave you TLC, you wanna creep and shit/Poured out my whole heart to a piece of shit," she raps in the song.
And fans didn't have to think too much about who she could be talking about. Back in December, rumors spread that Offset cheated on Cardi B when footage surfaced that appeared to show him with another woman in a hotel room. Afterward, Cardi B warned her fiancé that he "gon lose [his] wife" if he cheats again but ultimately decided to stay with him after the scandal. "I want to work out my shit with my man, and I don’t got to explain why," she said. "I’m not your property. This is my life...I’m going to take my time, and I’m going to decide on my decision."
But the drama didn't end there. Offset is currently going back-and-forth with a woman who claims he's the father of her baby. What could make this scenario even more awkward is that Cardi signed a management deal with Quality Control—where Migos have a label deal—and Cardi is rumored to be pregnant. It could also be a Lemonade situation where Offset knows the consequences of his actions include hearing her shut him down in her music.
However, Cardi B is clearing Offset's name and shutting down fans in his comments. One fan went to Offset's gram to ask him why he's so "ungrateful" despite having the "hottest chick in the game." But it wasn't long before Cardi came to her man's defense. "i rap about different things different feelings Music is art nothing personal," read her response. "Besides i don't think he will tell me to drop this record if it was personal shit. Its all love over here."
Either way, tweeters are ready with memes and jokes for Cardi's track. Invasion of Privacy is set to drop on April 6.
