For some reason, 50 Cent has decided to throw his weight behind 6ix9ine.

In addition to dropping in on 6ix9ine's ThisIs50 interview Wednesday (watch a clip below if that's something you're into), the two have reportedly discussed a variety of potential collaborations. They also popped up on each other's Instagram accounts on the day of the shoot.

According to TMZ or the Blast (what's the difference?), the two have talked about teaming up in the future on "music and TV" projects. Their sources added that people shouldn't be "surprised" if 6ix9ine lands on 50's Power series.

50’s stance on 6ix9ine is drastically different than several of his peers, including YG and fellow former G-Unit member The Game. Following Game's string of anti-6ix9ine comments, YG co-signed the sentiment with a simple Instagrammed video message: "Fuck 6ix9ine!"

As Jezebel reported back in December, 6ix9ine previously pleaded guilty to the use of a child in a sexual performance. Citing documents from the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, the new report directly contradicted an explanation 6ix9ine had given to DJ Akademiks. While 6ix9ine had claimed that he was "17 years young" at the time of the recording in question, the documents obtained and excerpted by Jezebel showed that he was actually 18. The girl involved in the recording was 13.
