In honor of this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend, Beats by Dr. Dre hosted a one-of-a-kind experience celebrating the city of Los Angeles—where, of course, the All-Star Game was held. The event spotlighted all of the things that make L.A. so special, including the sports, music, art, and energy.
The festivities kicked off Friday at one of L.A.’s most iconic venues: The Record Parlour. Located in the heart of Hollywood, the store was transformed into a multi-dimensional event space that featured a Beats listening lounge, curated record racks, and live DJ sets from the world's dopest turntable gurus.
The Beats by Dr. Dre All-Star event also hosted a Q&A panel with a selection of L.A.’s most talented creative minds. Moderated by Aaron Rose, the lineup included photographer Mike Miller, street artist Defer, and filmmaker Estevan Oriol. In addition to participating in the panel discussion, Miller displayed photos from his exclusive collection throughout the shop, while Defer showed off his skills to passersby with a live painting. Stars like James Harden, Migos, Pusha T, Karl-Anthony Towns, Young M.A, J.I.D, and more came through to check out the activation.
