On Thursday’s (Feb. 20) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks start off the show paying homage to Pop Smoke. The crew reacts to the devastating news and shares the tributes from fellow hip-hop artists like 50 Cent, Nicki Minaj and more who paid tribute to the late Brooklyn rapper online.  Soon after, the EDS crew is joined by the legendary rapper and mogul,  Birdman. The Cash Money head honcho  gives some context to his upcoming documentary with Spotify titled ‘New Cash Order,’ and how it will portray the Cash Money story. Later in the show, Birdman opens up about his relationship with Lil Wayne and speaks on their awkward legal issues from the past. To close out, Birdman speaks on taking Young Thug under his wing, how he stays motivated and shares specific financial tactics to curate generational wealth.

On Wednesday’s (Feb. 19) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks start off the show celebrating Black History Month by highlighting three influential black pioneers--Marcus Garvey, Regina King and Shonda Rhimes. Next, the crew shares their thoughts on Big Sean’s interview with Joe Budden, where he revealed that him and Kendrick Lamar never had any type of  beef. Soon after, the crew gives their take on A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s new album ‘Artist 2.0,’ in their ‘Review’ segment. Later in the show, DJ Akademiks goes through the latest Billboard stats, which see Roddy Ricch’s ‘The Box’ land at No. 1 for a sixth week straight and more. To close out the show, the trio speaks on Big Daddy Kane saying he believes Eminem is the Kobe Bryant of rap and Tyler, The Creator shooting down the possibility of an Odd Future album.

Next, the EDS crew shares their thoughts on Quentin Miller speaking on the 5-year anniversary of Drake’s ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.’ Soon after, the crew comments on 50 Cent’s recent Breakfast Club interview, where he revealed he wanted to punch Meek Mill over his beef with Drake. Later in the show, the crew speaks on Snoop Dogg’s apology to Gayle King, and share their thoughts on Snoop’s praise for Drake during his feud with Pusha T.
