Gunplay dropped in on The Breakfast Club Tuesday morning to chat about the struggles of his music career, his latest stunt on Love & Hip Hop Miami, and some wild anecdotes of near-death experiences from his past.

The Florida rapper and former Triple C member kept it real with Charlamagne and the gang, admitting to narrowly escaping death on more than one occasion. "Probably like a good two, three times," he said. Gunplay described the first close-call during a Miami drive-by. "I was in the car and it got shot the hell up. I don't know how I didn't get shot. We was three deep, too. I don't know how I didn't see it coming. It was just like Pulp Fiction."

His second "NDE" came from a nightmarish experience smoking the synthetic cannabinoid K2. Gunplay recounted the time he was on probation and copped from an unfamiliar dude, leading to a harrowing trip to the hospital. "I lit it, hit it once, and I was high already. The high kept going, and intensifying. I told my ex girlfriend, call the ambulance. I fell, and I'm throwing up blood and the police came in." Even the ambulance ride was like a scene out of a movie. He described being so messed up off the K2 that he physically broke the gurney he was strapped to via handcuffs. "I woke up two days later. They put me in a drug-induced coma. I almost had a brain aneurysm."

Gunplay's final close call happened on the way home from performing a show with Peanut and Rick Ross. He recalled the car accident—at the hands of an exhausted and intoxicated Peanut—that caused the rappers' car to flip over, rolling into the median, nearly trapping Ross inside. Gunplay hurried back to squeeze Ross out of the crushed car, despite hearing a steady hissing that he thought signaled it was about to blow. Talk about a man with nine lives.
