The Brooklyn rapper recently teased an upcoming freestyle over Gucci Mane and Migos’ “I Get the Bag” via Instagram.
According to Young M.A, she delivered four minutes worth of bars, and if the 48-second preview is any indication, the full version is full of punchlines and grimy talk.
“Double cuppin’ it/No lean just the red punch with the rum in it/Silky on fresh white tee/With the constructs on thuggin’ it/Block hot so I’m tuckin’ it/Glizzy came with a drum in it/Treat my nina like my old hoes/Start acting up and I’m dumpin’ it…” Young M.A rapped during a brief clip, which you can view above.
“Ooouuu” netted Young M.A a hit in 2016, as the single peaked at the No. 25 position on Billboard magazine’s Rhythmic chart during a 14-week run. She’s repeatedly hinted at dropping new music to follow up last year’s Herstory EP, and called the “I Get the Bag” bars her first freestyle of 2018.
When the track or any new music might drop is anyone’s guess, although it appears Young M.A is soliciting at least some level of fan feedback this time around.
“When should I drop this?” she asked in the caption of her preview video on Instagram. The post has received over 100,000 comments thus far, with the majority coming from users showing their approval via flame and heart-eye emojis. Evidently, people are hoping the answer is "soon."
