The hip-hop community may have been clutching pearls when Metro Boomin was overlooked by the Grammy committee for Producer of the Year, but the prolific talent isn’t sweating the snub. Maybe it’s because Metro has nothing to prove. His star-studded résumé includes collaborative projects with names like 21 Savage and Offset (Without Warning), Gucci Mane (Droptopwop), Nav (Perfect Timing), and Big Sean (Double or Nothing).

When Billboard asked Metro what he made of the snub in light of a huge 2017, he replied, “You know, we don’t be tripping off stuff like that. We just keep it moving, man. I feel like for the people, it’s more important than [awards]. I’m here to service the people. As long as that happens what I do, that’s really all that what matters to me.” Talk about humble.

Even in the absence of a Grammy nom, Metro has no plans of slowing down in 2018. Earlier in the week he teamed up with Gap for its latest campaign, which also features SZA and Sabrina Claudio, and also remixed Thompson Twins' "Hold Me Now," which you can check out below.

As far as who will be taking home a Grammy on Sunday, Metro said, “I think Kendrick’s strong man. I fuck with Kendrick. I fuck with Migos. Like, we got history. Seeing the Migos winning, that would be good. But you know, whoever wins. I fuck with Kendrick hard, too, though. You know, he had a very, very dope album.”
