Since debuting her incredibly soulful cut “Work”, Toronto based chanteuse, Charlotte Day Wilson, has quickly become one of our favourite new artists. After releasing a critically acclaimed EP, CDW, in 2016—we included the project in that year’s best Canadian releases—the talented musician kept up her newfound buzz with a handful of live dates and appearances on tracks with BADBADNOTGOOD and Grammy nominee, Daniel Caesar. Now, and after a brief hiatus, it appears as though Wilson is ready to return to the scene with more breathtaking material of her own.
Earlier this week, CDW joined Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio to leak a brand new song from her forthcoming project, Stone Woman. Ironically titled, “Nothing New”, the single introduces a fresh electronic element to the musician’s usual acoustic approach.
