Justin Timberlake is dropping a new album next month. Just two days into the new year, Timberlake has announced the release date and shared the cover art for his new album Man of the Woods. A new song is expected this Friday, with the full album to follow Feb. 2.

"This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family, but more so than any other album I've ever written, where I'm from," Timberlake says in the just-released teaser, featuring in-studio shots with Pharrell and cinematic glimpses of actual woods. "It's personal."

On the Sunday after we are introduced to this Man of the Woods, Timberlake will perform at something called "the Super Bowl." The mysterious event consists of a musical performance sandwiched between extended bouts of competing groups chasing a pointy ball around a field.

Last month, TMZ nearly spoiled the surprise announcement by reporting that Timberlake had trademarked the phrase "Man of the Woods." Timberlake also reportedly applied for a trademark for "Fresh Leaves," which may or may not be the title of the song we're getting this Friday. At any rate, we should expect plenty of Timbaland and Pharrell mastery on the new album.

The last time we were talking about new Justin Timberlake albums, the year was 2013 and dude was dropping the two-part 20/20 Experience. Part One ultimately went down as the best-selling album of the year thanks in part to the Jay Z collab "Suit & Tie."
