Drake Previews New Music at Memphis Nightclub

Drake is building up major hype for his upcoming releases.

From the sound of it, the 6 God is not playing around in 2018.

While hosting a private party in Memphis on Thursday, Drake treated the crowd to a sneak peek of another upcoming track, this one reportedly a collab with Blocboy JB. Footage from the event shows the Toronto rapper turning up with his Tennessee fans while the never-before-heard cut blasts through the speakers.

We’re here for it.

Drake has been teasing new material since the end of 2017.  During a stop on his Boy Meets World Tour back in November, Drizzy told the audience he was hard at work in the studio, and had new music on deck.

“Just know I’m always working for you. I’m never sitting around wasting my time,” he said on stage. “So, I got shit coming for you. Don’t worry.”

Shortly after Drake’s rumored collaborative track with Trippie Redd surfaced online last month, a clip of another song, titled “God’s Plan,” began circulating on the internet. At this point, it's unclear what exactly Drake has in store. Will he deliver a mixtape? Playlist? Another studio album? We'll have to wait it out... hopefully not for too long.

In a November interview with Hollywood Reporter, Drake revealed he might walk away from music someday and direct all his focus on movie projects; however, he insists that's unlikely to happen in the near future.

“I'm sure I'll stop [making music] one day. When it starts to feel like I'm making it up. Hopefully I'll catch it before I ever get there, right?” he said. “But right now it feels like we just started, so I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. But I do plan on expanding—to take six months or a year to myself and do some great films. Music's always there."
